Squantz Pond in New Fairfield — It is one of my favorite places to capture on canvas. The scene is quiet and timeless: tall trees frame the view with their thick green canapy, while early autumn leaves from a thin crooked trunk hangs over the water and hints at the season’s shift. The Pond itself is calm and reflective, mirroring the sky and distant hills in soft blues and greens. It’s a portrait of peace, contrasted by the movement of each visible brushstroke.
