The Lake’s Turning Seasons-original oil

Just painted while it is the beginning of fall, when the leaves are just starting to change and the light begins to soften. The clouds are drifting and they cast reflections, a little movement in an otherwise calm scene.
There is a quiet shift between seasons, when summer hasn’t quite let go and autumn is just beginning to show.

It’s a familiar view, and one that always invites reflection. We start noticing those gentle transitions this time of year—both in nature and in ourselves.
