Fall Foliage and the Bear Mountain Bridge surround this larger than life bronze sculpture which was presented to the Palisades Interstate Park by Commissioner Victor Berman in 1935. To this day it presides over the Hudson River at Bear Mountain State Park but is hidden amongst the overgrown trees. When tourists used to come by boat this statue would greet those park visitors before heading up the hill to the Inn.
