October 22 Outdoor Painting Workshop- Squantz Pond State Park

Learn to paint outdoors 

Plein Air Painting with Betty Ann Medeiros

Watercolor, Acrylic, Oils

 

Place: Squantz Pond State Park- lower parking Lot

 

 

One Day Saturday October 22th

Instruction Time: 9:30 am -1:30 pm  - Stay and paint all day if you like.

SPECIAL PRICE $25 EACH STUDENT

 

Must have some painting experience and bring your own painting supplies.

Also, bring a chair, easel or table, snacks, and water.

 

 

Agenda:

 

Park in lower parking lot

 where class will meet before setting up.

Instruction will be on painting fall foliage and trees.

There are some picnic tables available and a porta potty in lower parking area. You can also use restrooms at top of hill.

Betty Ann will walk around and discuss with each student about choice of medium, how to best use their supplies, and how to get started.

Discussions through the morning will also cover, process, composition, color mixing,  brushstrokes, perspective, painting shadows, and much more.

  Betty Ann’s extensive knowledge of painting in all mediums makes her a great resource to answers  specific questions students may have.

Since this is a one day class we will focus on starting a painting with a drawing and underpainting, then start with capturing the fall foliage.

Students will be encouraged to take photos to finish their painting at home.

Students will work at their own pace with Betty Ann’s artistic guidance.
